Ordering
How do I order custom edible images?
Use the Upload Your Images page to add your image files, choose the shape, size, wafer paper type, and quantity, then add the order to your cart. You can upload one image for the entire set or mix multiple images in the same order.
Can I upload my own photos or artwork?
Yes! You can upload almost anything you can save as an image or take a screenshot of, including your own photos, logos, favorite brands, television shows, movies, celebrities, sports themes, invitations, digital artwork, party inspiration, and more. For the best print quality, upload the clearest image available.
Can you create a design for me if I do not already have one?
Yes. Purchase a $5 Design Ticket and tell me the theme, colors, wording, preferred shapes and sizes, and any other details you want included. You can also upload inspiration pictures or personal photos. I will create a design, send you a proof for approval, make requested edits, and then send you the link to order the finished edible images.
Do you offer pre-made themes?
Yes. The Image Vault contains hundreds of ready-to-order themed designs, with new options added regularly. Browse the Vault by category or use the search bar to find a specific theme.
Can I mix different images in one order?
Yes. Custom upload orders can include multiple images. If you are ordering a pre-made set and only want certain designs from that set, add a note at checkout explaining which images you want and how many of each. The total quantity must still match the quantity purchased.
Will I receive a proof before printing?
For Upload Your Images orders, you can see your uploaded image and adjust the crop during the ordering process, so a separate proof is not normally sent. When I am creating a custom design through a Design Ticket, I will send a proof for approval and requested edits can be made before printing.
Can I order months in advance?
Yes. Unused wafer paper images are non-perishable and can last for many months when kept sealed in their original packaging at room temperature in a cool, dry place. Ordering early is a great way to avoid last-minute shipping stress.
Where should I leave special instructions?
Use the Order Notes box at checkout for details such as which images you want from a pre-made set, quantity breakdowns, names, ages, wording, or any other important instructions. For a completely new design, use the Design Ticket instead.
Shapes, Sizes & Wafer Paper
What shapes do you offer?
Available options include circles, squares, horizontal and vertical rectangles, ovals, hearts, and larger single images for cakes. Available sizes depend on the selected shape. Custom shapes may also be available for an additional charge.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure the usable decorating area of your dessert rather than the entire dessert. Choose an image slightly smaller than the frosted surface so it fits comfortably. Use the Size Guide for examples, or contact me with the dessert measurements for a recommendation.
What is the difference between Classic and Extra-Thick wafer paper?
Classic wafer paper is approximately 0.33 mm thick. It is lightweight and slightly translucent, so it looks best on white or very light frosting. Extra-Thick wafer paper is approximately 0.66 mm thick, about twice as thick and more opaque. It gives printed images a bolder appearance and reduces how much of the frosting color shows through.
Which wafer paper should I choose?
Choose Classic for a thinner, more flexible option, especially when placing the image on white frosting. Choose Extra-Thick when you want a bolder, more opaque look, when the frosting underneath is not white, or for desserts such as cakesicles where a thicker image is often preferred.
Are the edible images pre-cut?
Yes. The images are pre-cut to the selected shape and size and arrive ready to place on your dessert. No backing needs to be peeled away.
Are the edible images vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free?
The wafer paper is made from potato starch, water, and vegetable oil and is vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free. The wafer paper itself is kosher. The edible ink is not kosher-certified. Customers with severe allergies should review all ingredient information and use their own judgment because the products are prepared in a small-business environment.
Do edible wafer paper images have a taste?
Wafer paper has very little to no noticeable flavor. It is designed to add a printed decoration without changing the flavor of the dessert.
Application & Storage
How do I apply edible wafer paper images?
Place the image directly onto fresh, slightly moist frosting and gently smooth it flat with clean, dry fingers. Do not wet the front of the image. Simple application instructions are included with every order.
Do I need frosting to use them?
The image needs a slightly tacky edible surface to attach properly. Fresh buttercream works best. If the frosting has crusted or the dessert has a dry surface, apply a very thin layer of buttercream, corn syrup, or edible glue before placing the image.
Can I put wafer paper images on fondant?
Yes. Because fondant is usually dry, brush or spread a very small amount of edible glue, corn syrup, piping gel, or water onto the back of the image or the exact placement area. Use as little moisture as possible because too much can cause curling, wrinkling, or color bleeding.
Can I refrigerate my desserts after applying the images?
Refrigeration after application is not recommended because condensation and moisture can cause wafer paper to wrinkle, curl, soften, or bleed. For the best results, apply the images as close to serving time as practical and keep the finished desserts in a cool, dry place.
How long do unused edible images last?
Unused wafer paper images can last for many months, often 6 to 12 months or longer, when kept sealed in the original packaging at room temperature away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate the unused images.
Can I freeze edible wafer paper images?
Freezing is not recommended. Moisture and condensation during freezing and thawing can damage the wafer paper and printed ink. Store unused images sealed at room temperature instead.
How far in advance should I apply the images?
For the cleanest appearance, apply them the day of the event or as close to serving time as possible. They can often be applied earlier to stable buttercream desserts, but humidity, refrigeration, and the moisture level of the frosting can affect the result.
Desserts & Uses
What desserts can I use edible images on?
Edible wafer paper images can be used on cupcakes, cookies, cakes, brownies, Rice Krispies Treats, chocolate-covered Oreos, cake pops, cakesicles, chocolate-covered strawberries, pretzel rods, mini cakes, and many other desserts. They work best when pressed flat onto fresh frosting or attached with a very thin layer of buttercream, corn syrup, piping gel, or edible glue.
Can I use the images on colored or dark frosting?
Yes, but Classic wafer paper is slightly translucent, so dark or strongly colored frosting may show through and change the printed colors. White frosting gives the brightest result. Extra-Thick wafer paper is more opaque and is usually the better choice over colored frosting.
Can I use wafer paper images on curved desserts?
Yes. Smaller images can be used on gently curved desserts such as cake pops, strawberries, and the sides of cakes. Apply them carefully to a slightly tacky surface and avoid excessive bending or moisture.
Shipping & Local Pickup
How quickly do you ship?
Most orders ship within 2 business days. Large, highly customized, or proof-dependent orders may require additional time. Processing time is separate from the carrier's delivery time.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Free local pickup is available in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Select local pickup during checkout when available, and you will receive pickup instructions once the order is ready.
Which shipping carriers and services do you offer?
Shipping options may include USPS Ground Advantage, USPS Priority Mail, FedEx 2Day, and occasionally UPS, depending on the order and destination. Available services and prices are shown during checkout.
Can I rush my order?
Choose the fastest available shipping option at checkout and contact me as soon as possible. I will do my best to help, but expedited shipping only speeds up the carrier's transit time and does not create a guaranteed delivery date.
Do you guarantee delivery dates?
No. Delivery dates provided by USPS, FedEx, UPS, Shopify, or any other carrier are estimates unless the selected service specifically includes a carrier-backed guarantee. I control how quickly the order is prepared and shipped, but I do not control the package after the carrier accepts it. Ordering at least two weeks before your event is strongly recommended.
What happens if my package is delayed by USPS or another carrier?
Check the tracking link first, as packages sometimes begin moving again after a delayed scan. You may also contact the carrier or your local post office for additional information. I am not responsible for carrier delays, weather interruptions, missed scans, or estimated delivery dates, but I will help review the tracking information when possible.
What happens if my package is returned to sender?
Contact me as soon as you see a return-to-sender update. If you no longer need an unopened package, you may write "Return to Sender" on it and give it back to the carrier without opening it. Once the unopened package is returned to me, I can issue a refund for the returned products. Original shipping charges are generally not refundable. If the package was returned because an incorrect or incomplete address was entered, additional postage may be required to resend it.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. When the order ships, tracking information is sent to the email address or phone number entered at checkout. Tracking may take several hours to begin showing movement.
Bulk Orders & Business Customers
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes. Buy-more-save-more discounts are available on qualifying quantities. Discounts apply at full set increments, such as 24, 36, or more images, and are shown on eligible product pages or during checkout.
Can bakeries and other businesses order from you?
Yes. Bakeries, event planners, caterers, dessert businesses, and other commercial customers are welcome. Contact me for help with repeat orders, larger quantities, coordinated sizes, and ongoing business needs.
Can I reorder a previous design?
Yes. I save completed design files on my computer whenever possible. Contact me with your name, approximate order date, theme, or a photo of the previous design, and I will look for the saved file.
Design & Printing Questions
Can you match my invitation, party colors, or decorations?
Yes. Upload the invitation, color palette, decorations, or inspiration pictures through the Design Ticket and explain what you want matched. Printed colors can vary slightly from what appears on a phone or monitor, but I will coordinate the design as closely as possible.
Can you add names, ages, dates, or other wording?
Yes. Add the exact spelling, capitalization, and wording in your order notes or Design Ticket. Please review all text carefully because the information you submit will be used to create the design.
Can you print logos?
Yes. Upload the clearest logo file available, preferably a high-resolution PNG with a transparent or plain background. You are responsible for having permission to use any logo, trademark, photograph, or artwork you submit.
Can you print documents, screenshots, or personal photos?
Yes. Photos, screenshots, documents, and other image files can be printed as long as the important content remains readable at the selected size. Very small text or low-resolution images may not print clearly, so choose a larger size when fine details matter.
What kind of image file gives the best print quality?
Use the clearest, highest-resolution JPG or PNG available. Avoid blurry images, tiny screenshots, heavy compression, dark shadows, or images downloaded repeatedly from social media. The printed result can only be as clear as the file provided.
Will the printed colors look exactly like they do on my screen?
Not always. Screens produce light, while edible printers place ink onto wafer paper, so some color variation is normal. Classic wafer paper may also allow the frosting color to show through. White frosting and Extra-Thick wafer paper generally create the boldest appearance.
Changes, Problems & Returns
Do you accept returns?
Because edible images are made to order and often personalized, returns are not accepted simply because the customer changes their mind, no longer needs the order, or selected the wrong image, shape, size, paper type, or quantity. An unopened package that is returned to sender may be eligible for a product refund after it is received back.
What should I do if there is a problem with my order?
Contact me as soon as possible and include clear photos of the packaging, shipping label, and affected items. If I made a printing, cutting, or quantity error, I will work with you on an appropriate solution. Do not throw away the product or packaging until the issue has been reviewed.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Contact me immediately. Orders are made quickly and may enter production soon after purchase. Changes or cancellations are only possible before printing or cutting has started. Once production begins, the order may no longer be changed or canceled.
What if I accidentally order the wrong size, shape, paper type, or quantity?
Contact me immediately to see whether production has started. If the order has not been printed, I may be able to update it and collect any price difference. Once it has been printed or shipped, a replacement order will need to be purchased. Please measure your dessert and review the Size Guide before ordering.
What if my uploaded image is blurry, cropped incorrectly, or contains a spelling error?
Customers are responsible for reviewing uploaded images, cropping, spelling, names, dates, and order selections before checkout. I may contact you when an issue is obvious, but I cannot guarantee that every image-quality or content problem will be caught before printing.
